The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society

By chance, I have just finished reading this book - everything one learns through the story comes in the form of letters between the characters .it is really quirky and a delight . I only realised at the weekend that they have made a film of it which premiered this week. It has two authors as the writer became ill before it was finished so her niece continued it .
Paul ended up ringing 111 last night as the flu virus has left him with excruciating pains in his back so it was a swift visit to the doctor this morning and he now has pain killers and is resting up . I cancelled a visit to my friend in Suffolk as I don’t want to leave him while he’s in this condition.
