Paperweights

We run a little competition at the general WI meetings, and this one for a paperweight attracted 13 entries!
Some were most unusual and very beautiful.
Our speaker has worked at the Swannery, Abbotsbury, Dorset for 35 years and gave us a fascinating talk with an excellent photographic presentation. The Swannery has been in existence since the 1300’s !
The swans are quite free but receive extra help with nesting materials, food and health checks.
We plan to visit late next month when there will be a large number of cygnets hatched.
