Sunday stroll

Parked at UKC and walked along the Crab & Winkle Line cycle path as far as the church of St Cosmos and Damian, a big name for a small church. The service had just finished and some of the congregation had obviously got there by bike.
I am a big reader of gravestones and practise my arithmetic working out folks' ages when they died. I got something of a turn when I realised one of the cremation tablets was dedicated to someone I knew once, born the same year as my husband and one year older than I am now when she died.
If we'd walked another five miles we would have gone fron Canterbury to Whitstable. The hedge contained several healthy ash trees. Why anyone should import them when they grow like weeds is beyond me.
