Varian Truebeam radiotherapy machine

I met this monster for the first time today. We were only introduced on this occasion. We will become firm friends once my radiotherapy starts.

The purpose of my visit to the hospital this morning was to be measured and marked up for the next phase of treatment. I now have three tiny tattoos on my chest to direct the radiographer when he/she uses this machine to treat me. Again I was super-impressed with the kind, efficient treatment of the NHS staff who are caring for me.

This afternoon Jackie arrived by train from Cheltenham to look after me for a couple of days (and give Mr hazelh a rest).
