Mistaken identity

When I first saw this moth in my trap at dawn I thought it was a very nice Red sword-grass, but on closer inspection when I photographed it later I realized with that hair cut it was in fact a far more common Mullein moth  Cucullia verbasci , The Mullein is widely distributed across the UK, especially in the south. It flies in April and May, and the larvae feed on various species of Mullein and Buddelia.
I guess you win some, you loose some, and this is a rather attractive moth in it's own right.
