Gilded graffiti

A renaissance artwork with rouge lipstick style graffiti and gilded edges - sure to attract anyone's attention!

I spotted this in Pizza Express whilst having a final lunch with LB before he headed back up North. You may, rightly so, think it's a little on the quirky or modern side for Pizza Express, but their restaurant in Rochester is something else! The interior was funky, yet also somewhat understated and chic. The staff were attentive and friendly, whilst not being overbearing. And the other customers were a delight - not a rude one in sight!

Critique aside, this weekend on the whole has been wonderful. This morning comprised of yet more camera lessons and I'm pleased to say that I think there is a slim chance that I'm taking some of it in. This photo was taken on the manual setting, with a little adjustment of the shutter speed and aperture controls so that the little pointy arrow was just ever so slightly to the right of the middle of the gauge (I hear that this is the way that the pro's do it!).
