A Thoroughly Dreary Day
Well, if it wasn't raining we had a persistent mizzle in the area all day. As I sit here in the late afternoon looking out the window, the mist seems thicker and distant trees are being lost in the greyness. A day for working indoors.
Good news on the dunnock front. Although I wasn't privy to the actual event, the pair are busy collecting twigs from the garden to build their nest. It looks as though they have chosen a bush near our patio doors so with any luck we might see the patter of tiny feet in the next month or so. I tried to get a shot of one of the dunnocks carrying a twig that was probably three times its length, but the conditions defeated me. It still managed to carry it on the wing back to their home. Instead a simple image after feeding on the bird table.
