Mature beech

Another day of mizzly misery, so the only hope of getting a shot for Bob's WidWed was to find some really characterful trees. 

This is (a small section of) a beech avenue left behind by time.  I guess it was planted when the army was at Bushfield Camp but those days are long gone.  Now it's just in the middle of brownfield scrub, where no-one ever sees it except a few dedicated dog walkers.  Pretty amazing, isn't it? 

Apart from that, I've been visiting the OG this afternoon and soon will be cooking supper.  Many thanks to BobsBlips for hosting WidWed and I hope you all have a good evening  xx
