Hyacinths

I'd forgotten I'd bought a bag of hyacinths until they arrived in the post. I planted them in the garden and some in pots in the house. The house ones bloomed at Christmas the garden ones are just coming out. They smell gorgeous and the the colours are lovely. Decided I'd practice a triptych. 
Had a lovely lunch with ex colleagues from 2003 a high school in Blackburn. It was lovely to be able to go as usually I'm doing reading in school so only see them at Christmas.
Popped into the garden nursery on the way home and stocked up on cauliflowers, sweet peas and ranunculus. They are waiting in the conservatory.
