Caiplie Coves

We dumped the car near Fife Ness on the periphery of the long defunct HMS Jackdaw also known as Crail Airfield. Then, with the wind our left shoulder, walked west along the coastal path.
Crail itself was cowering from the storm with few souls on the streets and fewer hostelries open to welcome weary walkers. Julia’s Cafe was the only option and we dined well.
Onwards west passing the Pictish carved caves at Caiplie and eventually reaching Cellardyke.
After a cuppa, Mrs AB and I swapped boots for runners and returned along the coast to the car.
