Springtime Preparations
The weather has finally, and I mean finally turned for the better.
There are still some short periods of overcast skies and small sessions of reasonably light rainfall.
But it's so refreshing to walk in the large garden here, and see the fruit blossoms on the trees getting thicker by the day.
This year could see a bumper crop of (in our case), plums and apples.
In real terms that translates into hundreds of litres of rakija, when it comes to distilling season (October/November time).
The daily tasks at the moment are:
Painting the bases of the fruit trees in order to deter pests.
Grass cutting.
Preparing the ground for sowing.
There will be more posts here about how things develop as we move towards summer.
In the meantime, here's a short video from the garden.
