Cousins

Last full day in the park. Change of accommodation from our treehouse to a rather posh abode in Mosu at the south of the park. Think we preferred the treehouse to be honest.

Mokala is essentially a reserve to protect endangered species and it was wonderful to see animals so rare that they are not found in many of the commercially promoted parks.

Black wildebeest were our first encounter, they are actually more brown than black. Plains Zebra who are distant cousins to the now extinct quagga and four different springbok; the “regular”, the black, both in this pic, the copper and the white.

There are no predictors in the park which make the animals less skittish and more curious of vehicle.

Safe to say this is a magical place that we have thoroughly enjoyed. The truck is a bit of a mess though after encountering knee high puddles on the many loops.

Lovely stuff.
