Stole from my daughters store ( material and wool) and made a quick getaway to Charlestown. Had a lovely light lunch then wandered to the beach. Stood and watched these little ones for ages. They wore wellies and waterproof coveralls to jump I. The water unrestricted. Very well supervised. Must have been a local nursery group. This had to be the shot of the day. In this shot they were running away from a wave.
I then sat and chatted to a man who was brought up in the village. He told me that his grandad had a cottage next to the harbour masters house because he worked in the harbour. he is now a painter (artist) and sells his pictures daily. The village is privately owned and 75% of the cottages are rentals for holiday makers. He said since Poldark thete is no respit in the villagenow from tourists. He didn’t say if that was a good or bad thing but I got the feeling that winter without tourists would suit him.
