Kerry often adds a little something extra to his attire and waits to see if anyone notices. 

He also insists on calling me Eileen.

He is very entertaining and is quite a tonic.    

In other news, some one left Lock gate number 50 open and it caused chaos along the canal. Robert, one of the lock keepers stopped me at Town Bridge and asked for a report on activity further down the canal. I was surprised at how much info I had taken in. One boat was approaching up to lock 49 and two were hoping to descend but the pound was practically empty. Robert turned on the pump and said the water levels will adjust with in 20 minutes.
