Touched

Since I’ve been struck down by chronic kidney disease, I’ve certainly appreciated the support of friends like never before.  Today a couple of surprises lifted my spirits no end.  I had a card from my relations in Canada, I can’t wait for the day when I get out there.  After I returned from dialysis I was surprised by a parcel, a book, card and some wonderfully thoughtful gifts from a good friend.  I’ve been touched today.

Meeting friends and old colleagues on Monday was awesome, and I’ve also arranged a theatre trip with one of my other friends.  I feel so lucky to have great friends.

Big D went ok.  I finished a book, did some work and then had half an hour to twiddle my thumbs.
