Taking to the skies

Youngest son is harbouring an ambition to be an airline pilot. Given the cost of training  to be a pilot - an eye watering sum - ambition is all it is likely to remain unless he suddenly wins the lottery. However, for a Christmas present we bought him an air experience flight at Scone airport. He was supposed to do it last week but it was cancelled due to the awful weather and so today was the day. I imagined that the pilot would take the plane up and then let the passenger have a wee shot of flying. Apparently not, Callum did the take off and landing too (although presumably with some serious supervision). Needless to say, he loved it.
