Black and White
Today we had a whole hour extra in bed. Annoyingly we didn't get interest on the one hour we gave up at the start of the year but even so it was welcome.
Today we went to Winchester to the Farmer's Market which is held there on various Sundays. We went specifically to have a look for apples, as we knew a local producer would be there and we did like the last batch of apples we got from them at their tasting day.
The market was busy and fun and we bought apples and some very nice goat cheese. For dinner tonight we will have duck and plumb pie that we bought from a duck stall.
I had a wander about and in homage to @Redflash blipped one of her famous painted bollards. I had the camera on the slightly damp pavement when I took this and didn't spot that it wasn't straight or that there is a sign poking out from the behind the bollard. I did straighten the image in the GIMP* but decided not to get rid of the road sign mostly on the grounds that I'm not that good with the GIMP!
When we got back home we finished our game of Totopoly. We had a set of this game when I was a child and it was much more fun than monopoly. Yesterday after the Insulation event we went into the village and it was on sale for £3.50 at the charity shop, which while not cheap was better than the £4.5/- it originally cost.
* GNU Image Manipulation Tool, like Photoshop only it's free and open source and does some things better and some things worse than Photoshop but most importantly is available for Linux and Photoshop isn't.
