Canal relaxing

It's been a while since I last had a trip along the canal. Today's trip had been planned since August. The presence of workmen in the house was not going to stop me.

Too early in the season to see cygnets so we had to make do with saying hello to the solitary heron.

As we passed, very slowly, he stood like a canal bank ornament. Fascinating to watch.

Then home to dust.
