Cologne

The cathedral dominates the skyline from the panorama tower on the other side of the river. It's a genuine gothic cathedral, the highest there is, but the nave and towers weren't completed until the nineteenth century from the original designs. The choir (the bit nearest the camera) was built in the middle ages.

When the building was completed in 1880 the two spires were the tallest buildings in the world. How about that?
