Sew, sew and listen!!!
A busy day with our U3A group from 10-4, which achieved 2 quilt sandwiches, ready for the next stage and the start of a zipped little bag.
Home for a cat nap and to get ready to go to the local quilters group. Tight for time so dinner was missed :0( .
The speaker this evening was Trudy Woods who is a quilter of note, well published and exhibited, and as a bonus lives locally.
She showed us 30 quilts made over 30 years. Her later ones are perfection.....but interesting to see that you are not born at the ‘perfection stage’ and learn as you go along. She was more than happy to point out imperfections in the early quilts and tell us how not to repeat them. Learning from mistakes, loving the errors and moving on to the next quilt.
I’ve put a couple of interesting shots into extras.
Great day :0)
PS weather is cold and miserable, the beanies are out of the cupboard and into the microwave ready to warm up the cold feet!! Did someone say it’s April!!!!!
