Birdsong
Yesterday's entry by MemoryMe has inspired me to use one of my best bird pictures taken at the end of last month and add in her quotation. The message is be happy, be grateful for the life you have, and use your talents.
The yellowhammer is a bunting, (about 10% longer than a Chaffinch) with a forked tail. Adult male yellowhammers are vibrant birds in the breeding season, their red brown plumage streaked with black and bright yellow on the head and belly. In this specimen it has its winter plumage which is more subdued, but the yellow is still a distinctive feature on the head, under the bill and below the cheeks.
