Where we weren't meant to be

This is Lake Kariba, in the south of Zambia. We are flying north towards Lukasa.

This wasn't our preferred route but a combination of a badly delayed BA flight from London which meant a missed connection and then a set of alternatives offered by the company which wouldn't have got us to Malawi today or even in time to start our programme tomorrow meant that in the end we had to find another solution.

And find it we did with this Air Malawi Sunday service from Johannesburg to Blantyre, via Lusaka and our destination of Lilongwe.

So we made it, albeit 5 hours late. But great to be here and I am really looking forward to the week ahead.
