Will’s birthday

As with most years Will is very convenient for a birthday in the holidays meaning we can all have a day off. This morning we did presents with the early rising boy, went back to bed for a bit and then did the second rising with pancakes. I thrashed him at Monopoly Skyrim (don’t ask) then out friends arrived and we set off for a boy paddle boarding afternoon. They had a great couple of hours on Chichester Canal with a super man who gave them the best balance of instruction, games and just sitting back and watching them muck about. Rosie jumped in a couple of times for a swim and had to be hoiked out by her colour. I didn’t know Chichester had a canal until this week. A few extras of their malarkies.

Then home for a quick turnaround, welcome the birthday boy’s grandma and aunt and then out for Turkish dinner. All v jolly, even through Will’s horror of special loud birthday music and baklava with a candle. Then Hannah and I went to the pub for a bit.

Top birthday day and tomorrow we are all going for a Brazilian.....
