An Industrious Crew

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

One does not wish to complain. One really doesn’t, but I am going to go postal at some point at the workmen resurfacing the pavements on my street.

They have their portakabin on the side street right next to my house. They switch on the very noisy generator at 6.30 am and then proceed to shout over the noise.

It is also waking up the teenagers. This is not a good thing. Dealing with the grumpy undead is not an ideal way to start the day.

I wandered out with Murphy at lunchtime. In the digger, the driver was sound asleep. With the engine still running obviously. He was still enjoying his ‘peaceful’ nap 30 minutes later. WITH THE TW@TTING ENGINE STILL RUNNING.

It also appears that in order for one person to do his job properly, AT LEAST 4 others have to stand watching him.

If their portakabin happens to burn down in the middle of the night, it will NOTHING to do with me.
