Restoration - the homecoming
The Ross Fountain inPrinces Street Gardens was being carefully manouvered into place. Its bright and shiny after its clean up. It was bought by a local city gunmaker in 1862 in London and gifted to the city but wasn't sited and operational until 1872. I stood watching for a while.
I was sorting keys and locks, an issue which took up too much of my time. Guests have been causing such problems- keys broken in locks, a bottle of coke spilt over 2 single beds, a tv not working and a (single) plate broken but when I got there it was 3 plates and 2 cups. It's not even summer!?
My girl returned home after her 3 city 24 hour tour. Glasgow-London-Edinburgh-Glasgow chasing internships. So much to do and so little time is begining to tell.
My boy returned from Copenhagen- relaxed, less stressed and with a stomach behaving.
Such pressure on their shoulders and little I can offer by way of comfort.
I wish they could stand a while and take in their surroundings.
