"O Frabjous Day! Callooh Callay"
I was inwardly chortling with joy about the photographic riches resulting from a change in the weather. How wonderful to feel the sun on my back after all the gloom and to see so many bugs after the dearth.
It must have reached seventeen degrees because I shot my first bee fly of the year. I saw my first white butterfly of the season too, along with brimstones, tortoiseshells and peacocks. None were settling.
My long tailed tits have started lining their nest with feathers. I watched a pair of blue tits building theirs in a hole in an ash tree by the farm. I think the dunnock has a nest in the turkey shed. The robin was feeding its fluttering mate under the southerly oak tree.
