Neptune

We decided to get some fresh air at Dyrham Park today. The deer were all in hiding and I don't blame them, there was a right chilly breeze blowing!

The lofty statue of Neptune, one of the few elements of the original formal gardens of the late 1600's to survive, provides a dramatic focal point for the park. Carved by John Harvey of Bath in around 1700, it was once the source of a 224-step cascade that was fed by a natural spring.
