Alexandra Lodges

Today’s lovely weather warranted a drive out in a classic open top car, so off we went.

We had lunch with good company at a lovely pub in the Hamlet of Blidworth Bottoms.

I then drove rather sedately, as a friend in tow put it, to Bestwood Country Park to walk off said lunch.

This beautiful Victorian set of Lodges appeared, completely out of the blue, along one of the Park’s trails. You may say that the ornate, gothic archway is part of the trail itself!

I’m particularly fond of the Lodges as my name’s already etched into the building!
