In the neighborhood

I know I shouldn't complain what with the northeast getting blasted with snow and hail and cold temps! So I won't.  ;-)

Salem and I had a quick walk in between rain showers, or so I thought. We got caught out in it with 5 minutes to go to home. We are dry and warm now. I love these flowers that are in someone's yard.

I made another new recipe today - it's risotto with buckwheat instead of rice, manchengo cheese instead of parmesan, with shiitake and portobello mushrooms (topped with a round of goat cheese). It was SO good. The Mr doesn't eat mushrooms so there is another serving left for lunch tomorrow.  Yeehaw!
