Apple Blossom Time

Slow day at home. After a rough night's sleep I felt too sluggy to do my long walk this morning, so I pulled weeds for an hour right at the hottest part of the day instead. The paths are starting to be revealed at last, but I opted to get out of the sweating sun before too long, so there is plenty of work left for the rest of the week. 

I love this time in the garden when everything is beginning to bud out. A few roses have bloomed, and an iris or two, and the fruit trees are waking up. This blossom is from the Hudson's Gem apple. I think I will take pictures of all the different varieties and see if I can tell them apart. Stay tuned!
