Dawn's Journal

Early Start

The RHS at Wisley occasionally opens it's doors early at 7:30am for photograhers, and today was one such day.  To take full advange of the opportunity I have to leave the house earlier than my normal working day - which is a bit of a shock to the system, but well worth the effort!

One of the grassed areas on a hillside next to the rock garden has been planted up with a more unusual form of daffodil; hoop petticoat daffodil (Narcissus Bulbocodium) along with red and white snake's head fritillary (Fritillaria meleagris).  A heavy dew and back lighting from the early morning sun added fairyland magic to the vistas.
