October challenge Day 28 - The Clothes Show

The Lady of the House was enjoying the sunshine. She was delighted with her new dress, designed and tailored by her favourite dressmaker, DawnP. As she approached the shop the Cook and Maid came out, heading off to market. Since both servants were often seen in the shop, she had recently asked her dressmaker to provide them with some new clothes on her account (the Master was really quite generous with her clothing allowance), and compared with some of her friends' servant, they now looked very presentable and dare one say fashionable?

The Clothes Show originally ran on the BBC from 1986 to 2000. Although I have very little interest in fashion, I recall watching some of the earlier shows with some enjoyment, and for some reason particularly remember one of its presenters, the designer Jeff Bank. The show is apparently still going strong a commercial channel and The Clothes Show Live still takes place each year
