Port de Talais

Le Port de Talais is an old Oyster port on the Gironde. Nowadays not much happens there, although there is some regeneration of the old huts taking place. It is certainly a place of calm and solitude. 
One of the huts becomes a (very basic) restaurant during the summer and is said to be popular with locals. When we walked past it today it was getting a lick of paint in preparation for opening. The menu is basic - there did not appear to be much on there besides oysters and wine!
