Capturing my Journey

By thedoglady

Sun up

A quiet lambing on the first rounds. After feeding we had breakfast with my mum and sister then we went for a walk down to the farm beach and back. On the way back i could see that there were some sheep escaping over a flattened bit of fence onto the neighbours ground. So after tea and cake with mum and sis husband and I headed out to stand the fence back up and retrieve our sheep.

Lunchtime rounds we had a first time lamber with a lamb coming with head only. We managed to push it back and find some legs to get it out. She loves her lamb but we brought her in just to be sure all ok. Just as we were finishing it started raining so a rush to get my washing in!

Evening rounds we had another lamb coming head first. We lambed her and popper her in the trailer and brought her in then back out to check. A ewe with twins at first I thought both dead but one was just alive. We brought them in and I spent a long time warming the lamb in warm water and then hair drying it. It finally warmed up and I tubed with colostrum. It's still very weak but I've done the best I can for it.

Pip and Rustys 6th birthday today Cute puppy video here that are videos saved from the phone I lost and then husband found.

10c sunshine overcast then rain for couple of hours then dry again.
