Ice Storm Part Two

A second front of freezing rain is coming through our area today and heading east. Freezing rain mixed with snow pellets have covered the ground white with a hard crust, making it hard for the squirrels and birds to get at any food not covered or sheltered. More food was put out in sheltered areas today and we had many at the feeders over the day including Mr. Cardinal. This frozen feeder has seen better days but it at least kept the ice off the seeds! The freezing rain is suppose to to turn to rain later this afternoon and maybe melt some of the snow but might cause flooding in some areas. Had the lights flicker here ...just hope the electricity stays on! Cross your fingers!
