Synchronicity

On the always delightful Private Passions on BBC's Radio 3, i was listening to one Nick Davies choosing bird-related music (e.g. the lark ascending) and taking about what sounds his fascinating book on the cuckoo and how their cunning extends to laying eggs of a similar hue to the unwitting parent birds. As he began to talk about the blackbird being our most mellifluous songbird, a pair landed in our garden, right on cue.
Not the best picture of a blackbird you'll ever see, but his final music selection made it irresistible
