Bridge Street at Dusk

A late blip before the storm. This is a distant view of the house on Bridge St. in which we had an apartment after we sold our condo and before we moved into our newly constructed house in May 2011. Here is an almost exactly opposite view of the busy street from that front porch (in that blip I would have been out of the frame to the left of the school bus in the background).

The latest projections of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy show her partly sparing us here in Northampton, though New York City and northern New Jersey will probably suffer a direct hit Monday morning (tomorrow). But it is a huge storm with widespread wind and rain, and we are still very wary.

In the meantime we have been seeing heavy snow in southeastern France in the news on TV5 Monde, which we regularly listen to.

An amusing look back: A friend of a friend has a house in Damariscotta in Maine and saw us when we were there--she was in her car and sounld not top.
