Remembering Maisie

With a heavy heart A, P and I had to make the decision to put Maisie to sleep on Sunday morning.   For nearly 13 years she has been a wonderful member of the family and provider of entertainment to our friends.   She arrived when P was still at primary school and many of the kind comments we have received from friends and family over the last 24 hours are from now grown up kids who have fond memories of her when they visited.

Boundless energy, a lover of toast and marmalade and of opening parcels on Christmas morning.  Happy to walk for miles around Seacliff estate and act as a companion to A when I disappeared on my all to frequent overseas trips.   A provider of friendly greetings to new arrivals at the house.  She also spent a couple of years stateside and was the proud wearer of a Maryland dog tag to prove it.

Maisie was always willing to help out on blips and made numerous appearances over the years.   Here are just a few photos from the past.

This little dog gave us so much.   We are a little numb at present but have also been smiling at the shared memories.
