Waste
Monday, a public holiday and the end of our trip. Sad.
I really didn't think I'd like the campervan too much. Too big, too slow, too inconvenient to go anywhere, too much like what old people do. In fact, I loved it. We've had one of the best family holidays ever.
We saw lots of things, went lots of places, did lots together, and just had quality time. Leant a lot too, everything from fossilised forests, to glaciers, the lifecycle of whitebait.
We packed our gear, tidied the van, emptied the waste. Which as usual was a bit of an adventure. This time we finally got it right, there are 2 holes, one for grey water (shower etc) and one for toilet waste. Being the last day it was time for the kids to have a go, and they did a good job. Made even funnier when Hannah exclaimed "I see a poo going down the hole". Best place for it.
Back to the campervan depot, and transfer all the gear into the car and "home".
Only thing is, home for the next few weeks is a rental property while our house repair is completed. Actually, a very nice 3 bedroom house in Hoon Hay, newly renovated. It will be a good home for the next few weeks.
And compared to the camper, so big and such a comfortable bed. Luxury!
