Monday: Laura's Café

It's nice to spot old pockets of Vancouver whenever you see them.

i was due to meet someone for coffee this afternoon. He didn't show - but I was ok, I had something to read - but he then called me to say he was really sorry, he was in a meeting that he couldn't leave. He works for an independent station we're very fond of - anyway turns out the station is closing. Which is a real shame, as an emerging friend is a presenter there and we now worry for her. There's little room for local independent radio these days.

On another note, we have a friend staying over tonight - Leslie, whom we met on our recent trip to Mexico.

Anyway, in my stood up experience, I spotted this old café sign.
