Landskein

A very foggy night last night. It kept the gulls quiet, but the gas-tankers at Braefoot sounded their foghorns all night, so it was no more peaceful ;)
Worth it for this view of the Pentlands first thing in the morning.
The nature writer Robert McFarlane has called these retreating misty layers a "landskein", not sure if he coined the word, but it's very evocative..
