at flash-lit portait work at my camera club. The question: can you take a decent portrait with lighting equipment costing under £100, the answer seems to be yes - in the hands of the knowledgable. Proving it's the depth of skill rather than the depth of the pocket that counts.

In this case a trigger transmitter is attached to the camera hot-shoe and two flash guns are stood either side of the subject.

The £100 does not cover the model's fees nor the labour of the two assistants holding the flash guns.
