Dawn Chorus

While we were away the conservation group arranged a group boat trip for today on the River Medway. Count me in I had replied.  When we got back I read the details with the luxury of a large screen and saw we needed to be on the boat at 05:15 this morning. I had thought Dawn Chorus was the name of the boat not the trip!  One enterprising group member brought along a huge pile of bacon sandwiches.   Saw a kingfisher- extra but because it was dark when we started,   I had not thought I would need the long lens and the kingfisher is very small. .
