Karst

This morning I gave a lecture in English to a lot of Chinese students, and I’m pretty sure only about 3 understood it. But that’s probably for the best, as I had less than a day to prepare for it.

This afternoon is a start of a 2 day holiday I’m taking with one of my research assistants in Guilin and nearby. This area is famous for its karst landscape, which is also a perfect habitat for orchids. What a coincidence.
