We left home today at 9.25 and three buses later with time inbetween we started back on the coastal path at Tintagel at 4.30 pm. We finished there early last September when we had to abandon going any further because of the awful weather. The journey from Exeter to Bude was very wet most of the way but once we crossed the Devon/Cornwall border the roads dried up. We even saw the sun briefly a couple of times. My ViewRanger app says that we walked 4.75 kilometers and my maximum speed was 21 kms per hour, that was when I fell upwards onto a soft landing of grass, no harm done and I demanded my second pole which my husband had borrowed and told him to get his own out. It was rather gusty.
