lucky shot

Meandered off to Dalmeny station to pick up train tickets from the machine and came back via SQ front. Went under the Bridge to try some shots for evening class homework, and as I was wandering homewards along the front thinking about coffee, a flash of turquoise caught my eye. I got my camera out just in case, and spent a while trying to find it against the rocks and seaweed. Mostly by the time I'd found it in the viewfinder, it had moved on. I managed a couple of fairly decent shots with it in the seaweed, but then it posed on a rock near a pool. I would guess at a kingfisher.

This was the best of the shots, and is cropped, but should still be OK large.
