Pipers - Dunfermline

There was a fine pipe band playing on Dunfermline High Street on Saturday. It was odd though. There were tons of people stood around, obviously enjoying it. Most taking photos with their smartphones etc, some having fun with their little kids. Yet when the band finished playing a tune, very few of us actually applauded, there was just silence.

I don't know why, but it really hit a nerve with me. Maybe the world has changed more than I care to imagine.
