At the end of the day

It is two weeks before I start the new clinical attachment (in maternal mental health), and I'm feeling the need to be doing that rather than writing papers, and holding meetings, important as they are.

The day started with a group of senior clinical managers discussing serious incidents, and ended with many of the same people discussing the management of systems of clinical care. It was pleasing to see attention being paid to those aspects of our current system that permit gaps to occur, and the readiness to propose mechanisms to stop the gaps.

Perhaps the sunset tonight is promising a new start
