Going It, Not So Alone

Semi-finals

No great shots from the match. But some great shots at it! (Bh dn, tss.) We were missing a few key girls from our lineup tonight, unfortunately, so the outlook for the Mount Saint Mary's semi-final match was bleak. But this is Moriah, our #1 singles player during a change over, and I gotta say, that was the best match I've ever seen her play. She never gave up and blew us all away with how well she faired. If you look close, you can see Melissa serving on the second court. It's hard to cheer at an indoor facility, and I could barely even see Ashley's match at number three.
I played third doubles with Jasmine and we lost 8-2 but frankly, that was a great match as well (no matter what my coach said.) We never hung our heads, never gave up, had some great shots, cheered each other on, lost a lot of games at deuce. I'm proud of us, Jasmine and I felt we played some great tennis.
All-in-all, Mount won and will go on to play Farmingdale in the finals on Saturday.
I have a lot to say about the season, clearly. But for now, we're all just going to enjoy some much deserved time off.
