Sitting Swan

This evening MaggieD and I visited Stirling University for a wander round Airthrey Loch. There are, so far, two swans nests evident - you can hardly miss them. Both had swans sitting on eggs but there was no revelation as to how many eggs were cooking up under those feathers.
We also spotted quite a few tufted ducks and a few mallard drakes but no sign of any females. Presumably they are also incubating eggs.
The trees are on the point of bursting out too and the rhododendrons are coming out. So we will be re-visiting soon to check on them and the cygnet/duckling situation.
